February Newsletter 2024

Hi there, well I cannot believe we are already well into February! It is going so fast! The kids were asking Alexa how many months to Christmas yesterday. I mean, I haven’t even got the decorations back in the shed yet!

February Newsletter

Anyway, as you might have noticed this is my first newsletter as I am new here! Not new to The Joy of Learning but new to writing a blog. I have so much to say and hope I can help many thousands of parents embark on a successful home learning journey with their kids.

So welcome to my little corner of the world.

My creativity keeps me busy as I am a full-time carer to my eldest daughter and I home-educate my youngest.  So what do I do? I love to create digital products and pass on my experience as I have home educated since 2011. A veteran I guess!

February has been a busy month!

For them

I hope you have all had a chance to pop over to my shop and have a look at what I have uploaded so far this month for everyone. This Fairy Learning Loop is getting some lovely reviews on my website, which if you haven’t visited yet is hereIf you have a theme you would like to request please let me know.

It is perfect for you and your kids if you like to keep a record for the ‘powers that be’, but be flexible like me and go with the flow. There are lots of fairy colouring pages for your kids and plenty of space for planning your adventures together. You can get a ‘done for you’ from Amazon, or hang on a while as they will soon be uploaded to the shop.

I also have a freebie in my shop this month for any little ones starting handwriting or for those struggling a little, you can find that here. It is simple, not overwhelming and full of positive affirmations to build confidence.

For you

I have a special place being created at the moment. It will be a membership for mom and you will have everything there for the kids but there will be a special focus on you, because if mom is struggling everyone struggles. I will be introducing over the coming months things to help you organise life, learning and self-care. Watch this space!

For me

For me, it has been a month of packing bag upon bag of clothes for the charity shop. And it is very uplifting to know I never have to pack them away again! There are lots of tactile sensory sensitivity in my home and clothes can be bought, worn a couple of times and then never worn again – but I hang onto them in the hope! This month is all about giving myself a break!

I have also been trying to get some earlier nights. When you have a child who is bouncing off the wall and singing at midnight then you know how difficult this can be to get a full night of sleep, feel good in the morning, and function!! So I have been setting new routines in the hope they work!

Have a lovely month, hope the snowdrops are putting on a wonderful display or the sun is shining where you are!

I do hope if this is your first time visiting you will sign up for my newsletter. I am also on Facebook and Instagram.
