May Newsletter 2024

Hey, did someone mention May? Wow, this year is flying by. We’ve just had another half-term and most of us probably relaxed and hibernated at home. My daughter has finished college for good – already!! It feels like just yesterday she started her Music course, and now her final project is done and we’re planning for University.

May Newsletter 2024

Embrace the Beauty of May

May has been a lovely month filled with flowers, warmer weather, and the joy of spring. We have watched the ladybugs and seem to have an increase in birds nesting in the hedge behind us which the cats love watching from afar. They are house cats so the birds are safe.

My son has had chicken pox so it has been walking only for me and my daughter. But it has been the perfect time to enjoy outdoor activities, start new gardening projects, and spend quality time with family. Did you see the Aurora lights too? We missed out, unfortunately.

If you are new here, welcome, every month I do a little run down of what has been happening to help you keep up to date and let you know what I have been up to. Some months it is more than others as life throws curve balls, right? I break it into 3 sections.

For Them

I have an exciting little project that I have been working on throughout May which will be in the shop soon, just in time for the summer month. I am so excited as it will help the children who never stop moving and want to play.

That has taken up most of my time this month but I managed to get a lovely, free little shopping list out so your children can get involved with shopping and tick off groceries as you shop. They can also practice their writing. You can read about how to get the kids involved in shopping in The Unseen Classroom. If you don’t want to miss a blog post, sign up for the newsletter.

For You

My membership has been growing nicely and the doors will be open again soon. There are 3 tiers and The Outdoors is where I will concentrate on you. You are so important in this whole equation, if mom isn’t right then things are difficult for everyone. This is the top tier so you will get everything in the other tiers plus more just for you. For Me

May has been super busy with developing the website and writing lots of draft blog posts for the membership. I won’t bore you but so much time has been taken to learn the technical side of building the website, I am so happy with myself that I persevered and didn’t get to the point where I wanted someone else to do it for me. This is my baby and I have had so much joy in learning! Now that it is done I can start offering more and more things to you, which is why I started this in the first place!

But that’s all for now, wishing you a wonderful June. Many of the Gala will be happening around the UK which is a lovely tradition. Make sure you get dosed up on Vitamin D while we have the sun. And remember most learning opportunities happen from the world around us and talking to you children is the best thing yet.
